At Dow Chemical, I analyzed P&IDs and piping drawings and performed system walk-downs on stainless-steel circuits to verify material integrity and eliminate mixed metallurgy risks. This effort removed $397,500 in unnecessary ultrasonic inspections from pure stainless-steel systems at the SR-1 Ethylene Plant. I also collected temperature, pressure, and maintenance data for over 120 pieces of equipment to support the Beaumont NORAM unit’s transition to Risk-Based Inspection (RBI), generating projected savings of $462,000 in 2025 through optimized inspection frequencies. In addition, I developed a Power BI dashboard integrating SAP data to visualize maintenance man-hours versus scheduled work orders, providing leadership with a data-driven tool to justify resource reallocation and enhance maintenance efficiency.
